Bloated But Happy: Siopao, Spaghetti and Cakes


Father's day last month never went past the calendar unnoticed in our household. Early morning that day, one of the fathers already got busy rolling dough for siopao buns which is Filipino version for the dim sum pork buns. Meanwhile, my sister got started with the mixer while I got busy mincing the spices for the spaghetti sauce.

This post will be a bit longer if I have to talk about how to stuff the dough with pork or how we were almost bumping into each other in the small kitchen. So the summary is that everyone was full at the end of the carbohydrate-loaded action. We were bloated with happiness from also having too much chocolate cake.
